Psalm 150: Maker, maker

Maker, ah, Yahweh, Yahweh.

You are my one true God,

and you’ve got me praising you.

Yahweh. Ah, Maker, Maker.

You are my one true God,

and you’ve got me praising you.

(Hallelujah we are done with Psalms! I never realized how many there were until I started this project. I promise, no more bad poetry for awhile)

Psalm 149: I’m a believer

I thought God was only true in fairy tales,

meant to pacify the dumb, but never me.

But God was out to get me.

That’s the way, it seems.

Damnation haunted all my dreams.

Then I saw Its face.

Now I’m a believer.

Not a trace of doubt in my mind.

I’m afraid, and I’m a believer.

I couldn’t fear more if I tried.

Psalm 148: I want to praise your name

Oh yeah, I’ll tell you something

I know you’ll understand.

When I say that something,

I want to praise your name.

I want to praise your name.

I want to praise your name.

Oh please, say to me

you’ll be merciful.

And please say to me,

you’ll let me praise your name.

I want to praise your name.

I want to praise your name.

I want to praise your name.

Psalm 144: Wonder of all

Today’s gonna be the day

that everbody’s gonna worship you.

By now your love has shown down.

Realized what we gotta do.

I really believe that everybody

feels the way I do about you now.

Back beat, the word was on the street

that your fire might snuff us out.

I know you’ve heard it all before.

You’re omniscient so you’ve never had a doubt.

I really believe that everybody

feels the way I do about you now.

And all the roads we have to walk are winding.

And all your light that led us there is blinding.

There are many things that I

would like to say to you, but I don’t know how.

Because, Yahweh, you’re gonna be the one that saves me.

And after all, you’re the wonder of all.

Psalm 143: Worshipin’

Must be the sin that I’m sinking in.

Must be for real cuz how bad I feel.

God, I didn’t mind.

Don’t be unkind.

It’s not my time to wonder why.

Please wash my soul white.

I’m afraid it’s grey.

Now you’re here. Never away.

I don’t wanna sin.

Remember that.

I’ll never forget to combat.

Don’t let my foes go by.

Psalm 141: Best of my love

Doesn’t take much to make me happy,

and make me smile with glee.

Spilling a little Philistine blood

shows God’s love no mystery.

Demonstrating love and affection

like smiting my foes so openly.

I like the way you let me rule, Yahweh.

Want the whole wide world to see.

Whoa, whoa, you got the best of my love.

Whoa, whoa, you got the best of my love.

Whoa, whoa, you got the best of my love.

Whoa, whoa, you got the best of my love.
